The Last Supper?

Though a bit morose, renowned chefs weigh in here on what they'd pick for their last meal--if they knew it was to be their last meal. There's quite a range here, with recipes.
What would it be for you, Internet?
Me? Probably a filet, garlic mashed potatoes, green beans. A glass of red wine. Dessert? Bread pudding made by my friend Jenny Lind Berry. Then I could drift on out.

Green Beans? Are you kidding me?

I think for me, a big ole ribeye, baked potato with butter and sour cream and Caesar salad (or a green salad with blue cheese dressing from California Dreamin-- I could drink the stuff. But I'll take a Coca-Cola on the side if i'm dyin' anyway.

And for dessert-- something chocolate. And decadent. Predictable? Probably. But yummy.

Yeah, yeah, I know. Green beans. Not really my favorite but even with my last meal, I'm hearing my mom say, But you don't have a vegetable!

LOL! I think it would be ok to skip a veggie on your last meal, but I understand. Mother guilt is a powerful force!!

Woodford Reserve bourbon on the rocks to whet the appetite. Crabcakes for an appeizer. Then ... Big honkin' ribeye. Nuremburg brats. Bacon. Pork chop, fried in the bacon grease. Ribs. A really good cabernet. And asparagus ... just so I could leave it on the plate and laugh scornfully at it.
