Today, a local preacher drunk-dialed me (about mid-day). I am not making this up. He's done this before. I seldom call him back because, well, what would be the point?

How's your shoulder? In my inimitable way, I've fretted about what happened to you guys for several days. Tell Michael I enjoyed his column, but I do need to know just what words we Episcopalians aren't supposed to say.
Speaking of church, are you going to the service at 5:30? I've missed so many Sundays that I'm going to try to do that and go to the dinner after.
