Pat Conroy

Just bought "South of Broad" by Pat Conroy, one of the South's much-beloved authors. Anyone read it? I'm on page 2. Like other Conroy novels, "South of Broad" is set in Charleston, S.C.
What a magical city.

Allison, I reserved this at the library and I'm number 51 on the list. Let me know how you like it.

Just wondering how you are liking this book... Also wondered if it was sort of bogged down at the beginning. Beach Music became tedious to me but it may have been more about fatigue than the actual book. I totally loved The Prince of Tides, Lords of Discipline, The Great Santini and The Water Is Wide. Would love to hear your opinion so far.

Pat, I agree, about Beach Music; and I liked the others you listed a lot, especially Lords of Discipline.
I'm not terribly deep into this one yet but am enjoying it so far. ... It seems to move along.
