That is a terrific and funny article, but I fear that male prairie voles may soon become extinct. Despite what ethicists say, I see thousands of women descending on the voles' homes to extract the gene they can then inject into their unfaithful husbands or boyfriends. Because most women are not scientists, the poor voles may die, but women in search of committed relationships cannot be stopped.
Of course some women may travel to Africa to seek the same type gene from the wonderfully named Kirk's dik-dik.
I loved that name, didn't you?
