A backhand winner by American John Isner secured his second-round Wimbledon win today, as he beat Nicolas Mahut of France. (70-68 in the fifth, because of the no tie-break rule.) The match was spread over three days. Three DAYS.
"You know," Isner told the crowd after wining, "it stinks someone had to lose."
Indeed.
