OK, that is too much for me. Actually, even though I've had my feet washed and washed the feet of others, it isn't my favorite service. This year Doug offered a personal absolution on Maundy Thursday, which several of us chose over foot washing (you could also do that, too). I hope he'll continue to do that. It made me feel, well, absolved.
